Road and Lane Closure Exhibits are on Project Website

Thank you to those of you who participated in our online engagement and open house meetings regarding road closures exceeding 30 days for the South Hillsborough Pipeline project. We appreciate all the input we’ve received as we prepare to begin construction this fall on the new 26-mile pipeline.

All display boards and images of the closures that were shown at the open houses as well as the online engagement survey can be viewed on the project website.

Tampa Bay Water is requesting that the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approve the road closures at its Aug. 6, 2025, meeting (For information on how to provide comment to the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners, click here.)

Be on the Lookout for Pre-Construction Survey Letter

Properties directly adjacent to the South Hillsborough Pipeline will be receiving a certified letter in the mail from Seismic Surveys (SSI) prior to the start of construction in your area. SSI is the firm that will perform these inspections. This letter will offer a voluntary preconstruction interior and exterior survey of your home, including photographic and written documentation of your property’s “before” condition. This survey is a precautionary measure used to protect all parties involved.

We encourage you to take advantage of these free inspections. Inspections will occur over the next 12-16 months, preceding construction as it progresses. Please respond to the letter as soon as you receive it in order to schedule your inspection before the start of construction.

If you have questions or comments, please contact the project team at shpinfo@tampabaywater.org or call (813) 485-6480. Please stay tuned to the project website at SouthHillsboroughPipeline.com and look for emails regarding future project updates.
