Night Detour at Woodberry/Limona Road at Lakewood Drive Aug. 20-29; Sept. 3-12
Beginning Aug. 20, 2025, detours will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. at Woodberry/Limona roads and Lakewood Drive as crews confirm the location of underground utilities. Work will begin in the westbound lanes of Woodberry Road just west of Lakewood Drive and will last approximately one week, depending on weather and how quickly crews confirm utility locations.
Crews will pause work and open the intersection over Labor Day weekend, and resume Sept. 3 on Limona Road, just east of Lakewood Drive. Work on Limona Road is expected to last approximately one week.
While work is on the west side of Lakewood Drive, motorists traveling on Lakewood Drive or Limona Road who need to go west will be detoured to Brandon Boulevard (SR 60) and North Falkenburg Road. Eastbound traffic on Woodberry Road will be open using the right-hand turn lane to proceed north, south or east at Lakewood Drive.
When work is on the east side of Lakewood Drive, Limona Road will be closed at Lakewood Drive. Motorists will be detoured via Bates Street and Lakewood Drive to get around this closure.

Tampa Bay Water’s crews are excavating in the area to locate underground utilities before beginning construction of the South Hillsborough Pipeline in October. This work is being done at night to minimize traffic impacts.
