Crews to Begin Utility Location Work at Limona Road and Lakewood Drive on Aug. 26; Night Detour at Limona Road at CSX Railroad Crossing Sept. 2-10
Crews confirming the location of underground utilities will mobilize to Limona Road just east of Lakewood Drive ahead of schedule. Limona Road will now be closed at Lakewood Drive from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Tuesday, Aug. 26 through Friday, Aug. 29. Motorists will be detoured via Bates Street and Lakewood Drive to get around this closure. The intersection will open over Labor Day weekend.
Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 2, Limona Road will be closed between Short Street and Victoria Street from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly as crews begin utility location work at the CSX railroad crossing on Limona Road. Work will take place on the north and south sides of the railroad crossing and last approximately one week, depending on weather and how quickly crews confirm utility locations.

Tampa Bay Water’s crews are excavating in the area to locate underground utilities before beginning construction of the South Hillsborough Pipeline in October. This work is being done at night to minimize traffic impacts.
