Reminder: McMullen Road Closed Monday
Beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026, McMullen Road will be closed between McMullen Loop and Donneymoor Drive for construction of the South Hillsborough Pipeline project. McMullen Road will remain open to local traffic only from Donneymoor Drive to Boyette Road.
Work on McMullen Road is expected to last approximately two months. During this time, through-traffic on McMullen Road will be detoured using McMullen Loop, Balm Riverview Road and Boyette Road (see map below). The designated detour roads and surrounding roads will likely see increased traffic, so both students and motorists need to pay extra attention when traveling near school entrances, intersections and crosswalks, especially during school arrival and dismissal times.
This effort marks the beginning of construction work that will impact Boyette Road/Fishhawk Boulevard traffic and will last approximately 12-16 months. During this time, we encourage motorists to slow down and be patient, watch for students who walk and bike, and anticipate the need for additional drive time in this already congested area.
