Ronele Drive Construction Starts Aug. 15

Beginning as early as 7 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, construction crews will begin installing a portion of the South Hillsborough Pipeline on Ronele Drive. Ronele Drive and the sidewalk on Ronele Drive will be closed.

Resident access will be maintained from John Moore Road while crews are working closer to South Kings Avenue. Ronele Drive will be restored with a temporary drivable surface as work progresses eastward, and residents will be able to use South Kings Avenue for access as work approaches John Moore Road.

Through traffic will be detoured using South Kings Avenue, Bloomingdale Avenue and John Moore Road. El Greco Road will remain open to local traffic at Ronele Drive only until active pipeline construction reaches the intersection.

Crews are planning to work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with Saturday work occurring when needed. Motorists should expect delays. Please use caution when driving, biking or walking in the area.
